Gok Cooks Chinese

Earlier this January I shot Gok Wan's first cook book with Penguin Books. As you can guess the book is about Chinese food! Gok's father, Poppa Wan, is a fabulous chef and has his own restaurant, where Gok grew up helping out the chefs in the kitchen. The book is full of delicious recipies written by Gok and his father. Gok teaches us that we can all cook chinese at home that is both tastey and healthy. The book is to accompany the TV program which is out in May on Channel 4.

Here is a taster of some of the dishes and out-and-about with Gok in Chinatown.

Bold and Bright

Not so long ago I colaborated on a shoot with Pippa Jameson from Pippa Jameson Interiors. We looked at the trend for bold colours and graphic layouts. These images were then featured by C4Homes. Please also check out Pippa's blog where you can find tons of useful and beautiful interior styling tips.

A visit to Square Meal Venues and Events

Yesterday I visited the Square Meal event down at Old Billingsgate. I love this venue and would go to most events there if I could! I went along with Erika from Flutterfly Events, a lovely wedding planner friend of mine. The event was full of many different venues from around the UK, all showing how well they can put on events. I met lots of new people as well as bumping into some familiar faces at places that I have photographed at.

Some of these include: Coworth Park, The Dorchester, Elite Hotels, Exclusive Hotels, It's The Agency, Hambleton Hall, Hedsor House, The Collection - The Runnymede-on-Thames, Goodwood and Stoke Place.

Montenegro - a beautiful, rugged place (and scorching hot!)

Recently my work took me to Montenegro, which completely blew me away with it's rugged beauty and quiet, relaxed lifestyle. I stayed in a little place called Muo which is just around the bay from the ancient city of Kotor. The dramatic mountains which circle the huge bay almost fall straight into the sea, and therefore the houses and buildings are built very close the water's edge. In many places you literally step off the road into the water (can make driving quite a nail-biting experience!).

My B&B, Villa Ferri, was superb and was right on the edge of the bay. It was a wonderful experience waking up early in the morning and just stepped out of the door and straight into the refreshing water - such a great way to start the day! Next time I'm going back for a holiday to really explore what this country has to offer.
