Will you be out trick or treating with your kids this Halloween? Or holding a spooky party full of vampires and ghosts? Maybe this post will give you some Halloween party inspiration. This is taken from a chapter in the recent book Children’s Party Cookbook, published by Kyle Books. Styling by Pippa Jameson.
The latest book that I shot with Kyle Books is now on the bookstore shelves, Children’s Party Cookbook. The authors are Hatty Stead and Annabel Waley-Cohen, the prop styling was done by Pippa Jameson and the food styling by Gee Charman.
This was such a fun cookbook to photograph, and working with the children requires a lot of energy!
This week saw the release of the latest edition of 91 Magazine, a lovely online lifestyle magazine. I was asked to shoot a feature for them on the wonderfully kitsch home belonging to Natasha Denness, who writes a colourful blog called Candypop. The shoot was styled by Lucy Bloomfield. It was great to see our image on the front cover too!
I’ve been so bad at updating my blog! I’m going to make it my mission from now on to try to do two a week, so here goes, kicking it off with my recent trip to Suffolk. I spend a lot of time in Suffolk. My grandparents lived there so I have been visiting the area around Woodbridge all my life. It is a stunning area and I’m enjoying discovering more parts of it now that I am older. Sadly Granny and Grandpa are no longer with us but I have many fond memories of them whenever I am wondering this gorgeous part of the country.
Here are a few shots for the Christmas dinner shoot I did earlier this year for Gressingham Duck. I chose to shoot with a Skandi feel to the styling, in keeping with the current Skandi trend. Hope these pictures get the festive juices flowing!
Cook on a Shoestring by Sophie Wright is now in the shops and ready for you all to purchase! Earlier this year I had great pleasure shooting this book with Sophie for Kyle Books. It consists of delicious recipes that are all possible to make on a budget.
It’s properly Autumn now – or should I say winter, it’s so cold out there! And with Autumn comes the beautiful, natural colours all around us. You will all know that orange is very on trend at the moment, which is perfect for our Halloween decorations!
Earlier this January I shot Gok Wan‘s first cookbook, Gok Cooks Chinese, for Penguin. As you can guess the book is about Chinese food! Gok’s father, Poppa Wan, is a fabulous chef and has his own restaurant, where Gok grew up helping out the chefs in the kitchen. The book is full of delicious recipes written by Gok Wan and his father. Gok teaches us that we can all cook Chinese food at home that is both tasty and healthy. The book is to accompany the TV program which is out in May on Channel 4.
I am a contributor in this month’s edition of 91Magazine. It is an online magazine for the vintage style and craft lover. Featuring Homes / Style / Vintage / Shopping / Crafts. Published by Patchwork Harmony.
Amelie and Friends is a delightful cafe and restaurant in Chichester. I shot the interiors for interior design agency 44th Hill. Designed by the talented Stuart Taylor of 44th Hill, the interiors show the creative use of wood throughout. My favourite part of the design though are the lights, they’re great!
