About Jemma

Jemma is an independent freelance photographer whose work focuses on four key areas: Food, Style, Travel and People. Using natural daylight to accentuate the striking beauty of her images, Jemma’s style is lucid and relaxed throughout. This makes for accurate reflections of the environments in which she shoots, with inspiring people and situations expressed in images of real life. In her work on People and Travel, Jemma articulates an honest, reportage style which captures her subjects in their actual surroundings; for Style and Food the pictures are clean and brilliant, shot in true lifestyle fashion.

Based in London, Jemma shoots on negative and transparency film and has now made the move to digital. She receives commissions from all areas of the industry, including advertising, design, editorial, PR, publishing and events, as well as from individuals for private portraiture. Recently Jemma has worked predominantly in food photography, with Waitrose Food Illustrated magazine and Sainsbury's website among her clients, but she is always keen to challenge her creativity facing inspirational situations and people.
